The process of Welding inherently has some idle time and the machine draws current to meet the no
load losses of the transformer. The power drawn is determined by the quality of Machine and efficiency of the Transformer, the idle time is determined by the Process of Welding and type of Job. As per our studies the minimum idle time was found to be 40% and maximum to be 75%. Autoweld senses when Welding is not taking place switches OFF the machine from the mains and as soon as the Rod is struck it switches it ON instantly so much so that to the operator it seems like a normal process. Typically the actual KW varies from 0.8 KWH to 3.0KWH.
A relatively new concept of Voltage reducing device has been adopted by many Safety Conscious Industries which is in line with American and Australian standards on Welding Safety. A voltage of 25 Volts AC and 35 Volts DC shock is considered dangerous for humans as there is a chance ventricular fibrillation causing heart attacks. Welding machine by design has an OCV of 80-100 Volts as Open Circuit Voltage and is considered dangerous if the Welder happens to touch the Ground and Positive pole in case Switches proper insulation is not there. To reduce the chance of Shock Autoweld switches OFF the welding machine during Non Load times and in this case reduces the voltage to less than 20 Volts which is considered safe as any short circuit through Welder will let only 20MA pass , which is safe.

2. Autoweld Energy Saver suitable for DC Welding Motor Generator Set
This type is used in Dc Welding Motor Generator Set, in this there is a requirement of
a Semi Automatic Star Delta Starter, During Idle Time the Motor is shifted to the Star
Mode and is instantly shifted to the Delta mode as soon as the Welding Starts. This
saves around 33% Energy in this mode.

“Autolight” Static Voltage Stabilizer cum Lighting Energy Saver:-
This is suitable for Sodium and Mercury Vapour Lamps. The principle being that the lamp requires higher voltage for Igniting only, after it is ignited it does not require full voltage and by reducing the voltage around 10% percentage there is an energy saving of around 28% without visible loss in lumens.
Unlike most other Lighting Energy savers available in the Market “Autolight” Energy Saver works on the Principle of Static Voltage Stabilizer and give a constant voltage irrespective of incoming voltage, this voltage is set by us however as per clients requirement of energy saving the same can be set.
There is higher savings possible with Autolight as the switching of voltage is done at the primary thus increasing the overall efficiency of the Transformer.
